This app includes photos and mapped locations for every monument, tablet and marker in the Gettysburg National Military Park. It also includes barns, buildings, and other sites that were part of the battle -- 858 entries in all. It does not include flank markers.

Search for monuments, tablets and markers in five ways:
* By Location -- allows you to scroll through a park map with every monument, tablet and marker noted by a pin. Tap a pin for the name, and tap again for details and to see a photo.

* By State -- lists each monument, tablet and marker associated with a particular state and units from that state.

* By Category -- lists all the monuments that fall under a particular heading:
-- 10 Closest: find what is nearby when you are on the battlefield (a data plan is necessary for this to work on the battlefield)
-- State Monuments: lists each monument that is dedicated to a specific state
-- Monuments Honoring Individuals
-- Infantry Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, or All
-- Cavalry Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, or All
-- Artillery Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, or All
-- Regiments Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, or All
-- Division/Brigade Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, or All
-- Army/Corps Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, or All
-- Other: search monuments and sites that are not aligned to the Union or Confederate sides
-- All Monuments: search by Union, Confederate, Nonaligned, or All
-- All Tablets & Markers: search by Union, Confederate, Nonaligned, or All

* By Side - allows you to see every monument associated with the Union or the Confederacy, as well as nonaligned monuments.

* By Keyword – type in a word and the app will search all the fields for entries that match it.

Once you’ve selected an entry to view:
* Tap on it to go to a screen with more information
* From the information screen:
-- Tap the icon in the upper right hand corner for a full sized image of the monument, tablet or marker
-- Tap on the map button to see where it is located on the battlefield
-- Both maps and photos can be zoomed in or zoomed out

Create customized tours by "mapping" any monument using the monument lists or details. Customized maps include only the monuments you "map." Save your tours and access them using "My Tours."

The information in this app is also available as a full-color book, Guide to Gettysburg Battlefield Monuments, published by Stackpole Books and available through booksellers or the publisher.
